Is A Witty Person Always Homorous?

At a party or event, there’s always that one person who can make other people laugh, without putting in much effort, such a person is said to be blessed with humor. The person might be a master of interesting banter or a silent listener that suddenly fires off sparks if perfectly timed comebacks. Other people start to wonder why they can’t be that witty, maybe they can be if they tried a little harder or learn a thing or two from the masters. Keen intelligence, mental sharpness, and the ability to creatively invent new ideas or innovations are some meanings ascribed to wittiness. But that doesn’t mean that all smart people are not boring or all funny people are all smart, they reverse can be the case in each case.

Being able to say the right

Being able to say the right thing at the right time, in a way that both surprises and delights your audience is a true portrayal of wit, spontaneous creativity. The more you hear words, read books, watch teachable events unfold, and learn from them, the better primed your brain will be to dish out its witty thoughts. Rap is a form of wit on its own, but having witty lines on your tongue doesn’t transpire to you being witty, it takes more than that. It’s a known fact that references that aren’t relevant to an already aired conversation throw the audience off-balance and round the moment. The above is a classic example of attempted wit gone wrong, it can’t be forced, it’s either you are or you’re not.

When you feel good, others will feel more comfortable or at ease to relate and talk to you more than if you’re all glooming, keeping a straight face. However, humans are known to have fun in lots of different ways, some can derive pleasure in watching others throw cakes at themselves. While others prefer comedy to brighten their mood, this difference is derived from the differences in our sense of humor. Knowledge about the world is important also as it drives people’s spirit, what can be funny to a child of 10 might not appear funny to a 30-year-old. This is because the older man has more knowledge about the world to know that what’s funny to a child is not real.

Humor is often linked to a literary context, so if that context is unknown to a class of people, then it is hard to notice a joke that relies on that concept. This fact has made it difficult to state if some are born with a sense of humor or are just oblivious to some funny concepts. Inheriting a sense of humor from your parents is an undeniable fact, but the environment where you grow up can influence your wit a great deal.
